- ➤ Today, Proper 4 (230 20th Ave SW, Suite 104) in Rochester is offering free haircuts for veterans at a walk-in event from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Owner Nick Richards said the shop is holding the event to thank veterans for their service and is looking for one more barber to help. KTTC
- ➤ At the 5th Annual Oktoberfest for Suicide Prevention on Oct.4 at The Haley Center, nearly 2,000 people gathered and raised $164,426 for AFSP, NAMI Southeast Minnesota, and Aidan’s Light. A check presentation was held on Nov.7 — and over the past five years the event raised more than $500,000 while plans for the next Oktoberfest on Oct.3, 2026 are underway. KROC-AM
