- ➤ Downtown Rochester will have street closures on Civic Center Drive from 1 Street SE+ to 2 Street SE on October 28 and 29 for a geothermal project that will convert key municipal facilities as part of the DBET initiative in line with the city’s 100% renewable energy goal by 2030. The project follows City Hall’s Phase 1 conversion and will create a thermal network linking the Mayo Civic Center, Rochester Art Center, Rochester Civic Theatre, and Rochester Public Library+ while keeping natural gas as a backup.
