- ➤ Nextdoor has reintroduced its Treat Map for Rochester—residents can add their homes so families know where to find festive stops for trick-or-treating this Halloween. KROC-AM
- ➤ On Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 6 p.m.—the Kutzky Park Neighborhood Association will hold a meeting at the United Way office to discuss Mayo Clinic’s upcoming West Logistics Center with its planned linear park and loading dock. Officials say the project will be reviewed to address concerns about light pollution and traffic while ensuring safe pedestrian access. KIMT

- ➤ Hollandberry Pannekoeken is expanding into La Crosse with a new restaurant opening in the former Wells Fargo building, and construction is underway. The restaurant from Rochester (which has served the community for over 30 years) said it will share updates as the build-out continues. KIMT
- ➤ Kendra Scott’s pop-up shop returns to Rochester on October 13th from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at EVEN Hotel—20% of all sales will support metastatic breast cancer awareness through Inheritance of Hope. KROC-AM
- ➤ The City of Rochester said its North Broadway road improvement project is ahead of schedule, with east sidewalk work set to finish by Oct 24 and west work by late November—local business owners note better traffic flow and a return of customers as the full project is scheduled to end by June. - ➤ A national list of 50 best small towns for fall colors did not include any Minnesota towns, so a writer has made his own list featuring local favorites (Bemidji, Ely, Grand Marais, Lanesboro, Lutsen, Stillwater and Winona). - ➤ Motorists heading to the Mayo Clinic campus in downtown Rochester will face road closures today as part of the clinic’s ($5 billion) expansion project that includes new underground utility work and transit station connections. Two streets will be closed with traffic control workers stationed during peak travel times, and some closures are set to end early next year (1st St NW and 5th Ave NW closures). KROC-AM

- ➤ The Hemp Maze at Willow’s Keep Farm, just north of Rochester on Highway 52, offers a unique fall outing with tall hemp forming a maze; it is open weekdays from 11 AM—6:30 PM, Saturdays from 11 AM—5 PM and today from noon—5 PM with $6 admission and an optional $15 Hemp Farm Tour that educates visitors on hemp uses.
