- ➤ Two small businesses on 2nd Street SW are facing access challenges as ongoing Link Bus Rapid Transit construction forces sidewalk and road closures, and owners ask the city to add signage & rely on delivery services to reach customers. The project is expected to finish in summer 2026. KTTC
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ ACHLA will host its annual Hispanic Heritage Month Gala at the Château Theatre on September 19 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., featuring live music and performances to celebrate Latino culture. The free community event Latino Fest 2025 will be held on September 20 from noon to 7:00 p.m.—it will include a family-friendly Chihuahua Fashion Show along with local vendors and live performers. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Rochester Salvation Army distributed back-to-school clothing for over 100 Rochester Public School students—marking a successful season of aid—and provided nearly 500 items to children from 35 families in Olmsted County. KTTC
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Mayo Clinic in Rochester urgently needs blood donations to support surgeries, cancer treatments and care for severe infections because someone requires blood every 10 minutes. Fixed sites and bloodmobile drives will operate on Sept. 15, Sept. 22, Sept. 29 and Oct. 15 as part of a local campaign—Rally of the Restaurants and the Super Herber Bros challenge inspired by 11-year-old Nathan Herber.
