COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Organizers announced that the Rochester Fall Craft and Vendor Shopping event will move to the Rochester Sports Complex at RCTC for 2025 because the Olmsted County Fairgrounds will be under construction for several years. The Fall Show is set for Oct. 11 and will offer free admission and door prizes for attendees.  KIMT
  • Zumbro Lutheran Church held its 4th annual block party on Sunday morning with an outdoor service, food trucks, children's games, and music while collecting food for pantries; local scouts sold donuts & gathered donations for the event. Next week the church will host a welcome meal to support Luther College students by calling on community volunteers.  KTTC

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Minnesota Department of Transportation is beginning resurfacing northbound on Hwy 52 north of Zumbrota today—crews will also repair lanes on Highway 60 north of Goodhue County Road 7 and shift traffic to one lane—with work expected to finish by Oct. 6.  KTTC

HEALTH NEWS

  • Olmsted Medical Center will offer a drive-through flu shot clinic from October 6 through October 23 at the Rochester Northwest Clinic’s upper-level parking lot—operating Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. without requiring an appointment.  KIMT
