ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Officers responded at 10 p.m. Wednesday to the intersection of 30th Avenue SE and Stadium View Place SE near the RCTC entrance—where a crash between a southbound car and one exiting a side street killed a 74-year-old driver and hurt two people—and are investigating the incident with no citations given. - ➤ Rochester police reported that a crash near the RCTC campus occurred Wednesday night at the intersection of East Circle Dr and Stadium View Pl—when a vehicle pulling from Stadiumview Pl collided with another car traveling south, killing a 74-year-old driver and sending an 18-year-old passenger and a 34-year-old driver to the hospital. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Rochester is planning to redesign Sixth Avenue W to improve travel for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers after the closure of Third and Fourth Avenue Southwest — the project will relocate bike lanes and enhance walkways linking the Mayo Clinic campus with local neighborhoods. Residents can join a virtual public meeting on September 11 at noon and a community event on September 15 to offer input. KIMT

- ➤ Seasons Hospice will close its hospice house on October 10 as it shifts to in-home care, Board President Dawn Beck said amid a declining census.
