- ➤ Authorities have identified 35-year-old Jermaine Barker, a Rochester man, as the victim of a homicide in downtown Minneapolis when a gunman fired multiple shots at a group on a sidewalk around 2:00 a.m. Wednesday + no arrest has yet been made. KROC-AM
- ➤ A Twin Cities man pleaded guilty to felony first-degree property damage after leading police on a chase in Rochester last year when he left an impound lot without paying—he is scheduled to be sentenced in October. KROC
- ➤ David Engle, who admitted his cowardice after killing his 86-year-old step-great-grandmother, was denied parole Friday by the Minnesota Supervised Release Board—citing his lack of empathy and an incomplete release plan. KTTC
