- ➤ Rochester man 18-year-old Solomon Ojulu Obang was sentenced last Tuesday to five years probation for third-degree assault at a local business and was charged today with gross misdemeanor third-degree riot and fifth-degree assault for a gun-involved fight in a high school parking lot on April 28—he is due back in court in October. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ City officials announced that a section of Civic Center Dr. in downtown Rochester will be closed in both directions from Wednesday, August 27 through Saturday, August 30 for energy transition work. The closure—affecting sidewalks near the Rochester Library—is part of Phase Two of a project to expand geothermal power to additional downtown buildings. KROC
