CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Rochester man Jose Gutierrez Ojeda was sentenced to serve 90 days in jail—with credit for 13 days already served—and will serve an additional 90 days beginning February 3rd for his role in a deadly parking lot shooting that killed Osbel Ornelas. KTTC
- ➤ Rochester police arrested 18-year-old Joseph Solomon Albee after he fled a traffic stop for a turn signal violation and later crashed in a residential neighborhood near 1st and 11th NW—he admitted drinking and faces felony fleeing and misdemeanor DWI charges while his passenger was not injured. - ➤ Rochester police reported that Evelyn Costa, 84, a woman with dementia—very petite with dark brown hair wearing a gray sweatsuit and showing a surgical scar from a recent appendix removal—went missing after leaving the Kahler Grand Hotel on 2 Ave. SW at 5 p.m. Monday and was seen near Central Park on 1 Ave. N. at 7:30 p.m. KIMT
- ➤ The Rochester Police Department arrested 30-year-old Dwight Campbell for his alleged involvement in a drive-by shooting that occurred early Saturday morning along 18 1/2 Avenue NW—one man was shot and taken to Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Marys Campus with non-life-threatening injuries. KTTC
- ➤ Nathan Gossman—wanted in Wisconsin after striking an officer during a high-speed chase—and stole a Wheatland Township dump truck before being arrested Monday evening in Rochester and is now held in Olmsted County Jail pending extradition. KROC-AM

- ➤ Parents were urged on Tuesday to keep receipts for school supplies to claim tax savings on education expenses—state rules offer a credit for families with income limits and a subtraction for those without. The benefits apply to qualifying purchases for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. KTTC
