- ➤ The second annual 30 for Freedom race took place early Saturday to raise funds for victims of human trafficking on a 3-mile route from Assembly church to Essex Park—one dedicated runner began at midnight. Organizers said over 210 participants joined and are aiming to nearly match last year's fundraising total. KTTC
- ➤ Saturday morning’s inaugural Walk in the Park Day for Autism was held at Soldiers Field Park and hosted by the RT Autism Awareness Foundation—families enjoyed a bouncy castle, bubble station, free breakfast and bicycle rides, while the event raised $4,215, slightly below its $5,000 goal. KTTC

- ➤ On Saturday evening, a young Rochester man named David Munoz Romero was injured in a motorcycle crash on Highway 14 near mile marker 162 in Waseca County as he was taken to North Memorial while the Waseca County Sheriff's Office + Fire Department responded. KIMT
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Rochester police charged Siara Mae Pries with first-degree burglary, felony terroristic threats, and gross misdemeanor assault after he broke into a home on August 8 on 3rd Street Northwest+ he threatened the homeowner and had a previous conviction for attacking a security guard at St. Marys Hospital. - ➤ A Minnesota Supreme Court ruling on ghost guns dropped a felony charge against Thout Nathaan Aguek from Rochester—charges that began after police found gun parts with no serial number at his home. KROC-AM
- ➤ A recent Minnesota Supreme Court ruling dismissed a felony charge against 21-year-old Thout Nathaan Aguek after police responded to an April disorderly conduct call in northwest Rochester and later found unnumbered gun parts at his home. KROC
