- ➤ An 18-year-old Byron motorcyclist was charged with four counts of felony fleeing after he sped through Broadway Ave between July 3 and August 3; police executed a search warrant at his home on August 5—recovering his motorcycle and clothing. KROC

- ➤ Renovations at the historic Stoppel Farmstead have entered a new phase as the Olmsted County History Center restores the stone house and transforms the barn into an interactive exhibit for its centennial celebration in 2026. The project began in 2022 with a Minnesota Historical Society grant and nearly $100,000 in donated labor — the center now seeks $1.7 million to unlock a matching grant from the Jeffers Foundation.
