- ➤ A Rochester rideshare driver warned today that scammers are using drivers to deliver false pickup requests and pressure victims for money—he said two scam attempts occurred in northwest Rochester this week and urged people, especially elders, to be cautious—and reported the incidents to Lyft. - ➤ A Rochester man, 31-year-old Jose Cardona, was arrested after he drove on Highway 52 at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday and ignored emergency lights and sirens—officers used pepper balls and diverted traffic to safely take him into custody as he now faces multiple charges. KTTC
- ➤ A Rochester man—29-year-old Drew Douglas Wiskow Davis—fled after causing an injury crash with a stolen vehicle and breaking into a home on Tuesday, which triggered a shelter-in-place order, and was booked into the Wabasha County Jail shortly after 9:00 p.m. KROC-AM
- ➤ A Rochester man—29-year-old Drew Douglas Wiskow Davis—fled after a suspicious vehicle was reported, crashed into another car, and burglarized a home before officers arrested him shortly after 9:00 p.m. Tuesday. KROC
- ➤ At around 2:45 a.m.—a Wednesday early morning incident—the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office, Minnesota State Patrol and Rochester Police Department chased a vehicle on Highway 52 after suspecting impaired driving and moving violations, and when the driver refused to exit, officers fired pepper balls, which led to the arrest of Jose Cardona—31—.
