ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A utility worker found a man’s body—next to a motorcycle and crash debris—in a ditch by the intersection of Olmsted County Rd. 3 and 100th St. NW north of Rochester after a motorcycle crash, and officers are investigating the case while awaiting the medical examiner’s identification report.  KROC
  • An Olmsted County driver from Rochester sustained non-life threatening injuries after hitting a deer near mile marker 59 on Interstate 94 in Otter Tail County around 1:34 a.m. Tuesday and was taken to Lake Region Hospital while her passenger remained unharmed (local law enforcement and ambulance crews responded).  KIMT
  • Deputies responded at around 9:17 a.m. Monday after a utility worker reported debris at County Road 3 and 100th Street NW in Olmsted County, where investigators found an adult male victim in a ditch following a fatal motorcycle crash — the victim's name is withheld pending family notification.  KIMT

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The board of the Destination Medical Center Corporation approved additional contingency funding for the Link bus rapid transit project to meet federal transit requirements and address inflation pressures. The project will deliver fast and reliable service along a 2.8-mile corridor in downtown Rochester — connecting residents, workers, and visitors to jobs, healthcare, housing, and education.  KIMT

HEALTH NEWS

  • Mayo Clinic Blood Donation Program is calling on Minnesotans with O-negative blood to donate as they face a critical shortage, with Bloodmobile drives scheduled for July 25 at Mayo Family Clinic Southeast, July 29 at Byron City Hall, July 30 at Saint Marys Campus, and Aug. 1 at Mayo Family Clinic Southeast (all drives run from 7:45 a.m. to 3 p.m.).  KTTC
