- ➤ Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Minnesota is asking local volunteers to sign up as mentors for over 400 youth waiting for a match through its Big Summer Adventure campaign. - ➤ A 21-year-old Rochester man on probation for a vulnerable adult theft case faced two counts of felony theft after a police officer spotted him with a new victim at a northwest gas station on July 6—he allegedly promised $14,000 to repay a loan but took $3,905.50 instead. KROC-AM
- ➤ Rochester police charged two men after controlled buys led to investigations where a 61-year-old from Rochester sold 150 M30 fentanyl pills and a 38-year-old from Kasson sold 200 M30 pills; the charges were filed in Olmsted County Court on Wednesday — the suspects are set to appear in court next spring. - ➤ Rochester police arrested 23-year-old Erimondre Lee on Wednesday for a shooting that took place Sunday night at Village Green Apartments on 41st Street NW—this incident marks the fourth shooting in the city in less than a month. KROC
- ➤ Rochester police arrested two more teens after a 15-year-old said he was beaten and hit with a pistol at the 1st Street Ramp around 8 p.m. on Monday — one 17-year-old was taken Tuesday and a 16-year-old on Thursday. KIMT
