- ➤ A 16-year-old girl from Rochester was critically injured in a chain reaction crash on Hwy. 52 near the St. Paul Airport at Plato Blvd — state patrol said five people were hurt and she is fighting for her life. KROC
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Ibrahim Abukaar Abdi, 31, was arraigned today on charges of second-degree murder, second-degree assault, and illegal gun possession after a fatal shooting occurred last Thursday outside the Villages at Essex Park Apartments in northwest Rochester—bail was set at $1 million—following an argument over money and disrespect. - ➤ On July 7, Rochester said it had met the goals of its 2019 strategic energy plan with all 26 strategies either completed or in progress — a result that positions the city as a regional leader in energy management. KIMT
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Mayo Clinic and Ultromics have developed a new AI tool that screens for a rare heart condition (cardiac amyloidosis) using a single echocardiography videoclip. The tool is FDA-cleared and showed 85% sensitivity and 93% specificity in tests, and it will soon help doctors detect the condition earlier. KIMT
