  • Today, North Creek Dairy near Chatfield hosts Country Breakfast on the Farm as part of Rochesterfest with shuttles from Mayo High School running from 6:15 to 10:45 a.m.—attendees can enjoy Chris Cakes pancakes, sausages, cheese and juice, and experience educational exhibits and horse-drawn wagon rides while tickets cost $8 for adults and $5 for kids between 5 and 12.  KTTC
  • Crews from All Craft Exteriors are in Wabasha to help homeowners check for damage from severe storms and hail—teams are clearing debris and giving free inspections to ensure homes are safe. They are also providing temporary protection—measures that help restore secure living conditions.  KIMT

  • Former NBA player Kris Humphries and his cousin Alex opened Dave’s Hot Chicken in southeast Med City on Friday. The restaurant serves Nashville-Hot style chicken tenders and sliders — it is the first location to open outside the Twin Cities.  KTTC

CRIME NEWS

  • Craig Hameister, 44, of Rochester, was arrested after an hour-long standoff in Marion Township on Thursday following reports he struck Melissa Hunt at a boat launch near West Newton where she later died — he now faces two counts of second-degree murder and his first court appearance is scheduled for Friday afternoon.  KTTC
  • Craig Hameister, 44, from Rochester was charged with two counts of second-degree murder today in Wabasha County Court after he was arrested Wednesday night following a standoff near Chester Woods Park—where deputies linked him to the fatal assault of 36-year-old Melissa Nicole Hunt.  KROC-AM
  • A 46-year-old Rochester man is facing felony charges for fleeing police at speeds between 90—100 mph near a Kwik Trip store on 11th Ave and Civic Center Dr and was arrested at his home on June 17 with bail set at $100,000 as his court date is scheduled next month.  KROC-AM
  • A Rochester man, 46-year-old Matthew Ronald Fricke, is facing felony and gross misdemeanor charges for allegedly fleeing police at speeds up to 100 mph after parking oddly near Kwik Trip at the intersection of 11th Ave. + Civic Center Dr and he was arrested on June 17 on an active Department of Corrections warrant with bail set at $100,000 and a court date scheduled for next month.  KROC
