- ➤ The Rochester Police Department said it is supporting investigations after Representative Melissa Hortman, her husband and Senator John Hoffman were shot overnight in Brooklyn Park and Champlin—while assuring us there is no threat in Rochester and advising locals to call the non-emergency line to verify officer identities. - ➤ The Minnesota Court of Appeals overturned a judge’s dismissal of assault charges against 37-year-old Rodrigo Rojas Gasca, who is accused of injuring a man and a woman during a fight at a local restaurant in February 2022 — both victims were treated at a hospital — and the case has been sent back to Olmsted County Court for further proceedings.
