  • The History Center of Olmsted County will host its free BBQ Party on the Farmstead on June 21 from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.—visitors can tour the restored backhouse with a two-story smokehouse, caves and barns and listen to live music from Raven’s Fire as the center begins its Centennial Capital Campaign.  KTTC

CRIME NEWS

  • Rochester police arrested 47-year-old Jason Krukow from Pine Island on Tuesday in connection with ATM burglaries at five local businesses and a school—investigators executed search warrants at his home and related sites, and he now faces charges for property damage and burglary—as the investigation continues.  KROC

  • Jason Krukow, 47 of Pine Island, was arrested in Rochester on Tuesday in connection with ATM burglaries that occurred in March and April—he faces felony charges including first-degree damage to property, second-degree burglary, and additional property damage counts.  KIMT
  • Rochester police are asking the public for help in investigating a Saturday morning incident on a bike path near the 800 block of 16th Street Southwest where a runner was grabbed and sexual acts were simulated— the suspect, a thin Black male in his 20s wearing a Minnesota Twins beanie and red pants, is similar to one reported in April.  KROC-AM

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • City officials said the state bonding bill provides $650,000 for Silver Lake Skate Park improvements+ the project will cost about $1.4 million and is part of a broader $10 million plan that includes a new aquatics center adjacent to the park. Construction on the aquatics center began last fall+ work is set to continue through summer and fall with a grand opening planned for next year.  KROC
