- ➤ Authorities confirmed that 15-year-old Breanna Marie Holland was found safe while missing 16-year-old Angel Perez-Ortiz was seen in Rochester on May 28 (contact 911 or call 3202352244 if you have information). KROC-AM
- ➤ Two men were arrested after separate chases in Olmsted County—Mark Smith, 47, was caught on Friday after fleeing deputies on Highway 63 in an unlicensed motorcycle escape attempt, while Daniel Hill, 43, was taken into custody on Saturday after driving a stolen truck off-road in the Walmart South parking lot and trying to elude officers. - ➤ The Willmar Police Department is asking for help to locate 16-year-old Angel Perez-Ortiz, who was last seen in Rochester on May 28 wearing dark pants and a black True Religion hoodie (he is Hispanic, 5'7" tall and 170 pounds with dark brown curly hair and brown eyes) and urges anyone with information to call 320-235-2244 (for tips). - ➤ A Rochester man—28-year-old George Anthony Barnes—is accused of stealing jewelry during a Facebook Marketplace transaction on May 27 at a northwest apartment complex after he threatened to shoot the victim when he snatched a diamond necklace and earrings, and he is also linked to a separate watch robbery with bail set at $50,000. - ➤ Rochester drivers faced detours at the Highway 63 and Olmsted County Road 112 intersection starting Monday as MnDOT began roundabout construction to enhance safety and traffic flow—adding new lighting, accessibility upgrades, and a box culvert installation while the project is set to finish by late August. - ➤ Rochester City Council approved up to $4 million from Destination Medical Center to build Loom Apartments, a project that will create more than 280 income-restricted units and vacate six downtown homes+ the developer, Onward LLC, said the $9 million project will break ground in 2026 while it seeks an additional $5.5 million through tax and green energy credits.
