- ➤ Rochester's Million Dollar Shoot Out will run from June 23 to 26 with qualifying rounds at Hadley Creek and a final at Soldiers Field where the golfer with the closest-to-the-pin shot wins $1,000. The $25 entry helps fund local kids through the First Tee and Elks programs. KROC-AM

- ➤ Frahm's Service Center, a long-serving auto repair shop on Park Ln SE in Rochester, has closed after many years of service. The shop thanked loyal customers on Facebook — marking the end of a trusted community business. KROC-AM
- ➤ Burlington opened its second location in north Rochester on Friday, May 29th at (3839 Marketplace Drive NW) next to Target North, offering shoppers up to 60% off and a $5,000 donation to Elton Hills Elementary School during a ribbon-cutting ceremony. KROC-AM
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Starting June 9, Minnesota’s DNR will launch its new Electronic Licensing System that lets anglers and hunters purchase and manage licenses using a mobile app, online, or in-person. The system will offer digital storage and remote harvest registration while replacing a 25-year-old process. KROC-AM
- ➤ Joe Powers, a mayoral candidate, said his campaign will put Rochester first (his slogan) during an interview on May 29. He outlined plans to boost local services and address community priorities. KTTC
- ➤ The city now offers a free service to remove racist language from property records to update historical records; residents may request removal at municipal offices (check official guidelines for details). KTTC
- ➤ The Rochester City Council will vote on Monday, June 1 on beginning design work for a 200,000 to 250,000 sqft indoor dome at the Regional Sports Complex in southeast Rochester. Staff is requesting nearly $950,000 for the design phase and over $1.13 million from the city’s fund to kick off the project. KROC-AM
