- ➤ As warmer months increase park use, the City of Rochester reminds dog owners to leash pets where required and keep them responsive in off-leash areas — rules that also require cleaning up pet waste promptly. - ➤ After three summers of high water bills, a local homeowner used AI to check his sprinkler settings and found that programming four start times led to extra watering. He fixed the issue so the system now runs only once, lowering his costs. KROC-AM

- ➤ Seeds of Wisdom, a Rochester nonprofit partnering with the Co-Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, plans to raise $500K with a benefit dinner to support South Sudanese refugee students pursuing secondary boarding school education in Uganda — currently, 325 attend the primary school and 78 are in secondary school. - ➤ Today, Olmsted County will honor fallen deputies during Police Week—Deputy Jack D. Werner at noon and Detention Deputy Mark E. Anderson at 1:30 p.m.—with a statewide memorial program starting at 6:30 p.m., and a regional service is planned for Monday, May 18 at Soldiers Field Memorial Park. KIMT
