- ➤ Rochester will host the 53rd Spring Gold Rush at the Graham Arenas this Mother's Day weekend. The event will run Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.—shoppers can purchase unique gifts for Mother's Day. KTTC
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Three people were injured when a 2022 Audi A4 and a 2007 Honda Fit collided at the intersection of Highway 63 + 18th Avenue NW just after 11:30 a.m. Friday; all three were taken to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. KIMT
- ➤ Three people were taken to St. Mary's Hospital after a crash at the busy intersection of 18th Avenue and Highway 63 just north of Rochester this morning when a westbound car hit a car going south & the drivers, 19-year-old Matthew Nickelsen from Rochester and 63-year-old Robert Segner from Eyota with his 62-year-old passenger Angela Segner, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ A Rochester-based biotechnology company, Cytotheryx Inc, will receive $465,000 in state funds from the Job Creation Fund + the Minnesota Investment Fund to support a proposed $1.4 million renovation of its facility. Officials said the expansion project will create 22 jobs in the next three years and advance the company’s work on cell-based therapies for liver disease. KTTC

- ➤ A Rochester man pleaded guilty to felony theft from a vulnerable adult with autism — he forced the victim to withdraw over $40,000 from his bank account and admitted to causing about $6,500 in property damage, with his sentencing set for next month. KROC
- ➤ A Twin Cities woman, 38-year-old Ashley Lynae Bullard, was charged with second-degree drug possession, two counts of fifth-degree drug possession and a misdemeanor driving charge when a Goodhue County deputy found her slumped over in an SUV at the roundabout on East White Bridge Rd. and Wazuweeta Rd. near Pine Island on March 22 before 9:30 a.m. and a search turned up meth, 82 Amphetamine and Dextroamphetamine pills, 78 Xanax pills, 22 Vyvanse capsules and a broken meth pipe.
