- ➤ Local officials, school leaders and law enforcement joined local students at B’nai Israel Synagogue on Sunday, April 27th to observe Yom HaShoah by lighting six candles in memory of six million Jewish lives lost during the Holocaust — the ceremony honored survivors, rescuers and those who resisted persecution. - ➤ Firefighters responded around 5 p.m. Saturday to a rural home on Pinewood Rd. Southeast where an RV fully engulfed in flames threatened a nearby pole barn — crews quickly knocked down the fire and no injuries were reported. KROC-AM

- ➤ On Saturday afternoon, a 56-year-old motorcyclist lost control near the intersection of Hwy. 60 and Wabasha County Rd. 13—about 12 miles west of Wabasha—and hit a guardrail, sending him to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester with non-life-threatening injuries (Troy Roger Rutz from Willmar) while state and local authorities responded with no alcohol involvement. - ➤ On April 23, an Olmsted County Sheriff's corporal stopped a vehicle near the I-90 and County Road 6 intersection near Stewartville after noticing the driver shaking, which led to a K9 alert and a search that uncovered a plastic bag with over 2 pounds of methamphetamine and a small baggie, resulting in the arrests of two Iowa men Patrick John Letscher and Jason Charles Jensen.
