- ➤ Volunteers can join the city's Parks and Recreation Department and RNeighborwoods to plant 150 boulevard trees in the Sunset Terrace neighborhood on Saturday, May 9. The event begins at 8:30 a.m. at Sunset Terrace Elementary (located on 19th Avenue Northwest) and welcomes all ages. KTTC
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Olmsted County updated property damage counts from Friday’s tornado outbreak — Marion Township saw about 30 homes damaged, with 12 severely affected, Stewartville had eight homes with major damage and 15 residents displaced, while Quincy and Haverhill Townships reported minor damage. KTTC
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ John Marshall High School will host a spring plant sale at the greenhouse (May 4 to 8, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and May 9, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.) to raise funds for its floral design class and offer students hands-on experience; the event has run for ten years. KTTC
