COMMUNITY NEWS

  • The Village Agricultural Co-op signed a five-year lease with People of Hope ELCA to create a 3-acre urban farm—expecting five families to farm the land next season—and will move its Tuesday market to Cascade Lake Park from 4 to 7 p.m. with weekly activities and music from June through October.  KIMT
  • Lime's e-scooters and e-bikes returned to Rochester the week of April 13—city officials introduced new safety rules including no parking zones, mandatory parking areas and device clusters at partner sites. Riders should park responsibly and report misparked units to 311.  KROC-AM

CULTURE NEWS

  • Indie-pop band AJR, along with Quinn XCII and Avery Cochrane, will perform on Wednesday, Sept. 2 at the Minnesota State Fair's Grandstand Concert Series in Falcon Heights. Tickets go on sale Friday (check local listings).  KTTC
  • Comedian Charlie Berens announced he will bring his Lost And Found Tour to the Mayo Civic Center on Sept. 18 in Rochester. Tickets for his 90-minute show will go on sale tomorrow, April 17 at 10:00 a.m.  KROC-AM

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Rochester physicians earn nearly $500,000 a year and lead the nation in pay according to Doximity’s analysis. Mayo Clinic supports high wages in the local healthcare market (rising 8.7 percent annually).  KROC-AM

HEALTH NEWS

  • A five-year-old girl has been waiting 200 days at Mayo Clinic for a heart transplant. Her mother said the hospital’s child life program and regular playdates help make her long wait more bearable (ongoing support).  KIMT
