CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Rochester woman (38-year-old Casey Anna McKenzie) was charged with first-degree drug sales, third-degree drug possession, and two gross-misdemeanor DWI charges after a traffic stop for expired registration last October near 37th Street and 10th Avenue led police to find 22.8 grams of meth, baggies, a digital scale and a pipe with residue in her vehicle, and she admitted to selling meth while heading to a gas station with her first court appearance set for October. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Rochester City Council will vote on Monday on a proposal to award nearly $4.4 million to subsidize construction of 219 new homes in the Westbury Development through its Home Ownership Creation Program. Bigelow Homes must complete the project by November 2029, and each home will be reimbursed up to $20,000 with a deed restriction on resale for seven years. KROC
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ Rochester City Council will vote on awarding $4.4 million to help Bigelow Homes build 219 new homes in Westbury Development north of Valleyhigh Road; about 46% of the homes must be affordable for households earning up to 115% of the area's median income and the project must finish by November 2029 + may extend by one year if needed. A deed restriction will limit the resale price of the subsidized homes for seven years. KROC-AM
