- ➤ Jessica, a radio veteran since 2017, serves as the Community Outreach Director for Townsquare Media & hosts her Y-105FM show on weekdays from 3pm to 7pm. She was named one of the Top 20 Content Creators and sits on a nonprofit board that helps the homeless. KROC
- ➤ The City of Rochester is planning Independence Day celebrations with a fireworks display at Soldiers Field Park while RPD and the Fire Department ensure safety + the Rochester Community Band will perform at Cascade Lake Park before the display replaces park concerts. KTTC
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ On Good Friday, Rochester residents walked a route from the Government Center to the Co-Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist + braving rain to remember Jesus’ journey, Rev. Bob Horihan said. The event marked the beginning of the Easter weekend. KTTC
- ➤ SEMAC launches an Emergency Relief Fund to provide one-time $500 grants to 60 eligible Minnesota artists from an 11-county region. Applications open April 21 with first round notifications on May 29 and virtual Q&A sessions on May 8 at 2 p.m. CT and May 12 at 6 p.m. CT. KIMT

- ➤ Rochester Catholic Schools will host its inaugural Saints and Scholars President’s Gala on Saturday, April 11 at J. Powers at the Hilton. The event will include a formal dinner, awards presentation, live auction, + performance by Incognito celebrating its 40th anniversary. KROC-AM
- ➤ Data from the Minnesota Department of Education shows that Rochester Public Schools’ four-year graduation rate increased by over 2 percentage points since 2023, with significant gains reported for Hispanic, Asian, African American students, students with disabilities and those eligible for free or reduced-price meals.
