COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Non-profit Wrench has been helping Med City residents since it started after the pandemic by offering free vehicle maintenance and handy services for people in need. Chair Jesse Campbell said the group now helps 300 to 500 families a year—while relying on donations, it is exploring grant options and advertising to cover its $3000 monthly costs.  KIMT

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Rochester’s job market grew by nearly 6,400 jobs in the past year and achieved a 5.2% growth rate, state officials said. Other cities like the Twin Cities added 14,900 jobs with less than 1% growth—Mankato even lost jobs over the same period.  KROC

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Rochester Public Transit announced route changes to support Mayo Clinic’s Bold.Forward.Unbound downtown expansion. Starting Sunday, April 6, the Downtown Transit Center will move to Central Park along 2nd St Northwest—printed schedules are available today and route 412 will adjust until summer.  KROC-AM
  • Rochester Public Transit will change downtown routes starting April 6th and move the Downtown Transit Center from 2nd St. Southwest to Central Park along 2nd St. Northwest (this change is linked to the Mayo Clinic Bold.Forward.Unbound expansion). The transit app will show new route details on April 6th and printed schedules will be available by March 31st (riders should use the updated information).  KROC
