  • The annual Polar Plunge at Foster Arend Park will help raise money for Special Olympics Minnesota with registration opening at 10 a.m. and the plunge starting at noon today (aiming to reach a goal of $290,000 statewide).  KTTC

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Delta Air Lines issued bonus checks on Friday, Feb. 13 to roughly 10,000 to 12,000 Minnesota employees (as part of its 2025 profit share) by distributing $1.3 billion, roughly equaling more than four weeks of extra pay. The payout ranks among the top five in the airline’s history.  KROC-AM

  • The Rochester Art Center is hosting the 15th Annual Southeast Minnesota High School Art Show featuring artwork from 12 school districts from Feb. 18 to Apr. 4 (with a free Open House on Feb. 22) in its third floor gallery.  KIMT

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Xcel Energy and Dairyland Power Cooperative plan a $1.2 billion power line from the north Rochester substation to the Mississippi River as a bird watching group raises concerns over bird safety near Silver Creek Reservoir. Revised routes will be shared at open houses in April and construction may begin in 2030.  KTTC

HEALTH NEWS

  • Mayo Clinic’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Center moved from the Gona Building to the Dan Abraham Healthy Living Center in November 2025 and now offers new equipment, a walking track, and comprehensive health programs. Patients report improved heart health and renewed energy as they work toward recovery.  KTTC
  • An Olmsted County jury ruled in Mayo Clinic's favor last Thursday after a week-long trial in which Dr. Michael Joyner claimed retaliation over media interviews — his allegations were not upheld — when the jury found no violations of anti-retaliation policies.  KROC-AM
