- ➤ Rochester nonprofits are requesting winter glove donations ahead of First Alert Days this weekend. They say gloves are critical for people in need of shelter and will continue to accept contributions as weather remains unpredictable. KTTC

- ➤ SweetDrip Sauna offers a winter escape — next to Cook Park and Old Abe's Coffee Shop — with three portable saunas, woodfire or electric, for $24 per hour. It is open Wed-Fri from 5 to 9 p.m. and Sat from 4 to 8 p.m. until April. KIMT

- ➤ Experience Rochester's Restaurant Week will run from Monday, Jan. 26 to Feb. 1, where nearly 30 local restaurants will offer special menus while Rochester Public Transit provides free round trip bus fare vouchers for diners. KIMT

- ➤ Residents saw the Northern Lights across southern Minnesota and northern Iowa Monday night and Tuesday morning despite the harsh cold. A few locals braved low temperatures to catch a rare glimpse of the Aurora. KTTC
