- ➤ SEMAC and Springboard for the Arts will host two free virtual workshops on business skills for artists. Promotions runs Feb. 4 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and Pricing is on Mar. 4 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. (registration is required for artists in SEMAC's 11-county region). KIMT
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Twelve parks and trails statewide were approved to receive $11,326,845 in FY 2027 funds, with Rochester Gamehaven Park allocated $577,938 for improvements, environmental review & enhanced accessibility. KROC
- ➤ The State of Minnesota announced $17.3 million in funding to 59 organizations to support workforce development and job training for over 3,500 people. Locally, the Workforce Development Center + Somali American Social Service Association in Rochester received $350,000 + $300,000 to boost career training efforts. KROC

- ➤ Northern Valley Animal Clinic in Rochester shares cold weather tips for pet safety today + veterinarian Bradley Treder advises pet owners to limit outdoor time based on temperature and use heated spaces with winter gear to keep pets safe from hypothermia and frostbite. KIMT
- ➤ Vyriad, a gene therapy company in Rochester, raised $85 million with support from local investors to back its new VV-169 cancer treatment and will begin human testing in June using a viral load to train T-cells in vivo to treat multiple myeloma. KIMT
